As far as big news in relation to the gaming world is concerned it was recently learned that Ori and the Blind Forest a platform metroidvania game from 2015 will soon be ported for the Nintendo Switch. For those who do not know Ori and the Blind Forest was developed by Moon Studios and published by Microsoft Studios and originally appeared on the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows following its release approximately four years ago. Ori and the Blind Forest had a pretty basic but interesting storyline along with incredible visuals due to the use of the Unity game engine. Since its release Ori and the Blind Forest had been critically acclaimed for various things including its soundtrack, plot twists and visual quality making it one of the best games within the platform genre from 2015. As many people know the latest installment in the series Ori and the Will Of The Wisps is set to be released for Xbox One & Microsoft Windows in February 2020.
There is no word on whether or not Ori and The Will Of The Wisps will eventually be ported for the Nintendo Switch as well but its something that would be interesting. Ori and The Blind Forest is scheduled to be released for the Switch console this upcoming Fall on September 27th. As a platform-adventure title its possible that Ori and The Blind Forest will be more of an attraction on the Switch console than it was on the Xbox One a few years ago. As far as genres are concerned variety seems to stand out more on the Nintendo Switch than it does on Xbox One since shooters and RPG’s tend to be bigger attractions on that console.
