As many people know Super Mario Maker 2 is set to be released for the Nintendo Switch this upcoming month in June 2019. The intended release date for Super Mario Maker 2 is June 28th and is considered to be the highly anticipated sequel to the original Mario Maker game which came out in September 2015. As far as recent news regarding Super Mario Maker 2 is concerned we have learned some additional details regarding the online multiplayer game mode. It has been revealed that players will not be able to play against friends in relation to the online multiplayer game mode. Instead, players will be randomly matched with other people which is interesting since it could possibly have either a positive or detrimental effect on the replay value of Super Mario Maker 2.
With all of the new features in Super Mario Maker 2 such the brand new story mode, items and staging materials for players to create their own levels; the online multiplayer gameplay is something that seems of minimal importance in relation to the game’s overall success. The fact that Super Mario Maker 2 has more offline in-game content than its predecessor almost assures that the game will be a huge success. In fact, it would not be surprising if Super Mario Maker 2 ended up selling more than its ’15 predecessor especially since the Nintendo Switch is a more popular game console than the Wii-U and arguably the Nintendo 3DS.
