As many people know it was just revealed the other day that Capcom plans on re-releasing the original Devil May Cry game for the Nintendo Switch sometime later in 2019. In addition, to Devil May Cry coming to the Nintendo Switch we have recently learned that the game will appear on the hybrid console digitally and will not include any hard copies. The idea of Devil May Cry not having a physical release for the Nintendo Switch is actually not a bad idea especially considering the fact that downloading & streaming video games have become increasingly popular throughout most of the 10’s decade. Also, its possible that we might end up seeing Devil May Cry 2-5 on the Nintendo Switch in the future so making a physical copy of the original game would not make much sense. In fact, there some people who were hoping that we see the Devil May Cry HD Collection on Switch after it was ported to PlayStation 4 & Xbox One in 2018.
In fact, there are some who wonder why Capcom did not just bring the Devil May Cry HD Collection to the Nintendo Switch digitally. Either way, being able to purchase Devil May Cry for the Nintendo Switch digitally will be more convenient than going to retail to puta hard copy. Also, as popular as the Devil May Cry series is the original game could be overshadowed by numerous first party games that are found in electronic retailers such Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, Splatoon 2 and others. Either way, it’s still pretty cool that we are going to get a Devil May Cry on the Switch console later this year.
