As many people know Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth was one of the most popular Nintendo 3DS games of the mid 10’s following its release back in June 2014. Since than Persona Q1: Shadow of the Labyrinth has managed to reach at least 250,000 units worldwide in sales and has a big sequel that is set to appear worldwide on Nintendo 3DS in June 2019 entitled Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. Seeing how successful Persona Q1 was back in ’14 some question whether or not the game could have possibly been more successful on the Nintendo Wii-U. While Persona Q1 was a popular RPG on the Nintendo 3DS some would argue that the handheld game console was more popular than the Wii-U was in general since it has managed to sell more in the long run.
Besides its was always possible that Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth could have definitely been overshadowed by the likes of Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros Wii-U, Super Mario 3D World and other first party games that appeared on that console between 2014-2016. While Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth could have ended up becoming a solid RPG for the Wii-U it may not have had as much success as it did on the Nintendo 3DS.
