As far as upcoming racing games in relation to this year are concerned one of the many titles that we will be seeing this upcoming May is Team Sonic Racing. As many people on Team Sonic Racing will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch and was original set to be released in 2018. As cool as Team Sonic Racing will be it will most likely not become as popular as the likes of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Forza Horizon 4, Gran Turismo Sport and other racing titles that have been released within the past two years. However, a feature that would make Team Sonic Racing more of an attraction than titles such as Mario Kart 8: Deluxe or Forza Horizon 4 is online cross platform gameplay.
Despite, the complaints about Team Sonic Racing for its roster there is no doubt that online cross-platform gameplay between the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch would definitely add its overall appeal. Along with having local multiplayer gameplay that supports up to four different players and online gameplay that can feature up twelve people Team Sonic Racing has the potential to be one of the best multiplayer racing titles of 2019. As far as the inclusion of online cross-platform gameplay between different game systems are concerned it sounds like a a great idea in theory that will probably never happen in practice.
