As the year comes to a close we get more exciting news as it relates to upcoming releases in 2019. For those who have not heard it has been recently been announced that Guilty Gear: Accent Core Plus R which scheduled to be released this past year for the Nintendo Switch has now been delayed for 2019. This announcement just came hours ago from Arc System Works who have also apologized to fans for being unable to deliver the 2D head to head fighting game for the Switch console as promised for 2018. While some Switch owners people may be bummed about having to wait until next year to play Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R the plus side is that the game has more of an opportunity to shine more in 2019.
In 2018, we saw games such as Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Street Fighter II: Anniversary Collection, Dragonball FighterZ in the Switch console which could have easily overshadowed Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R. Pushing the game back until next year was probably a good call by Arc System Works in the long run. Hopefully, an official release date for Guile’s Gear XX: Accent Core Plus R will be revealed within the next few weeks especially since people have waited throughout most of 2018 for its release.
