When we think about popular video games that has appeared exclusively on the Nintendo Switch within the past two years Xenoblade Chronicles 2 & Octopath Traveller are two titles that instantly comes to mind. Both games are arguably two of the best RPG’s that we have seen on the Nintendo Switch since the console first appeared in retail back in March 2017. Since its release Xenoblade Chronicles 2 had reportedly managed to sell over 1.5 million copies worldwide since its release back in December 2017. Also, Octopath Traveller which came out back in July had managed to reach over one million copies worldwide and was awarded “Best RPG” at the 2018 Game Critics Awards.
Both RPG’s are still very impressive and are deserving of a PS4 port. However, Octopath Traveller along with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were both published by Nintendo. The likelihood of seeing either game in the PlayStation 4 seems very slim especially since having Octopath Traveller & Xenoblade Chronicles 2 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch added to their appeal. But if one game had to be chosen over the other in relation to a PS4 port many would probably lean more towards Xenoblade Chronicles 2 especially since it was at least seven years in the making following its initial release for the Nintendo Switch.
