When it comes down to classic racing titles of the early 90’s one of the many titles that instantly comes to mind is the F-Zero game for the SNES. Despite, how popular F-Zero became of the SNES the game never received an arcade release and makes people wonder if it could have been more successful if it had actually happened in the early 90’s. After all, we did get to see F-Zero AX released in arcades centers back in the early 00’s and was a racing title that many people were impressed by during that time period. While an arcade version of the original F-Zero could have definitely elevated its status on popularity during the early 90’s it would have been in competition with more popular racing titles such as Sega Outrun.
Besides the original F-Zero game was very difficult on the SNES and one could only imagine how tough it would have been to beat it in arcade centers. The F-Zero title from ’91 could have definitely been an attraction in arcade centers but having the game as a SNES exclusively added more value to it overall.
