When we think about popular games for the Sega Saturn in general one of the many titles that instantly comes to mind is Nights Into Dreams which was released back in 1996. Since its release for the Sega Saturn Nights Into Dreams was ported for multiple game consoles such as the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox 360 back in the 00’s. There is still no explanation on why Sega & Sonic Team never brought this game to Dreamcast or even made a direct sequel for that console Seeing how popular Nights Into Dreams was for Dreamcast. In fact, Night Into Dreams was probably one of the best games that Sega has ever made aside from anything related to the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

The visuals and gameplay for Nights Into Dreams looked like something that belonged on the Dreamcast console and was better than any Sonic game that appeared on the Sega Saturn during the mid 90’s. Dreams Into Nights could have been easily have been a top game on the Sega Dreamcast and could have ended becoming more popular than it was on the Sega Dreamcast. But unfortunately, Sega obviously had no plans on making a sequel or re-releasing Nights Into Dreams for Dreamcast between ’98-’00.
