As many of us know Bethesda had showed the world a teaser trailer for Elder Scrolls VI back at the E3 this past June. Since then we have seen some leaked screenshots of Elder Scrolls VI but details surrounding the game are still pretty scarce. As of right now it has been revealed that Elder Scrolls VI unlikely be released for consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and will not appear until either 2020-2021 when next generation game systems such as the PlayStation 5 arrives. Speaking, of the next generation of gaming there dare some who question whether or not Elder Scrolls VI will have cross-platform gameplay. Online multiplayer gameplay between PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch is a feature which is currently absent on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

In fact, it seems like cross-platform gameplay for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is something that is unlikely to happen despite being one of the most popular Action-RPG’s of the 10’s decade. Seeing that development for Elder Scrolls VI is still far from being completed Bethesda should take into consideration how much gaming has evolved along with the high demand for online multiplayer cross-platform gameplay in general. There are games such as Fortnite along with Minecraft which have greatly benefited from cross-platform gameplay and it looks like something that is going to eventually become more prominent in relation to online gaming in general.
