When it comes down to popular cross-platform video games that are out right now titles such as Fortnite along with Minecraft are ones that instantly comes to mind. The idea of cross-platform gameplay for different games is something special and makes titles such as Minecraft and Fortnite more appealing than other titles that appear on consoles such as the Nintendo Switch and the Xbox One. If anything Nintendo and Microsoft should collaborate more in the future in relation to online multiplayer gaming in general. While the Sony was adamant about not collaborating with Microsoft and Nintendo in relation to cross-platform gaming not too long ago it seemed like things have somewhat changed most recently.

In fact, a few weeks ago Sony had opened up cross platform gameplay on the PlayStation 4 with Fortnite. It will be interesting to see if Sony decides whether or not to include cross-platform gameplay more in the future with the PlayStation 4 or even the PlayStation 5. But as of right now there games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 along with Fallout 76 and Red Dead Redemption II that people would love to see cross-platform gameplay for in relation to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
