When it comes down to big SNES titles of the early 90’s one of the many titles that instantly comes to mind is the original Final Fight game which first appeared in arcade centers in 1989. Ever since, Final Fight became a smash hit in arcade centers the game quickly became popular for the SNES between 1990-1992 and eventually developed into a series. The 16-bit graphics and gameplay of the original Final Fight game were things that made it appealing for those who were fans of the beat em up genre of gaming between the late 80’s and early 90’s.

If Final Fight first appeared as a 8-bit NES game the game would not have had nearly as much appeal as it did back in the late 80’s. While games such as Double Dragon were fun to play on the NES console its hard to imagine what an 8 bit version of Final Fight would look like. Final Fight was a game that was made specifically for 16 bit gameplay and nothing else. Having Final Fight as an 8 bit or 3D game would look strange in practice and its a good thing that it was released for the SNES opposed to the NES back in the early 90’s.
