When it comes down to retro RPG’s of the early 00’s there are so many titles that comes mind. One of the many titles that some might consider to be an underrated game is the original Golden Sun title which was released back in 2001. Golden Sun has was an RPG that was praised by fans and critics alike for various qualities such as graphics along with the puzzle games that this title had offer. In fact the gameplay for Golden Sun in relation to the battles looked somewhat similar to RPG’s that you would see on the Sega Genesis like Shining Force.

In fact, Golden Sun looks like a game that could have been even more successful back in the 16-bit era during the early 90’s when Nintendo and Sega were going head to head in relation to the console wars. However, its highly questionable whether or not Golden Sun could have had more success on the Nintendo GameCube back in the early 2000’s. For the most part high quality 3D titles such as Metroid Prime, Mario Kart: Double Dash and many others were bigger attractions on the Nintendo GameCube. Golden Sun may not have became as popular as it did if the game was released for GameCube instead of the Game Boy Advance.
