As of right now the PlayStation 4 is probably the best selling game console in retail right now. Since its initial release back in late 2013 the PlayStation 4 has managed to sell over 83 million units worldwide. Not only has the PlayStation 4 managed to sell more than the Xbox One and the Nintendo Wii-U but its possibly the best selling game console of the 10’s decade. While the PlayStation 4 May have surpassed the Wii-U in terms of sales it has yet to surpass the lines of the Nintendo Wii which was initially released back in late 2006.

Ever since the Nintendo Wii was released during the mid 00’s the console had managed to sell over 101 million units worldwide. The Nintendo Wii was among one of the best selling game consoles during 2000’s alongside the PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo DS. While Sony has yet to announce or even present the PlayStation 5 there is still about a year or two left for the PlayStation 4 to surpass the Nintendo Wii in terms of sales. However, seeing how the 10’s has been slightly more competitive than the 00’s in relation the console wars its still questionable on whether or not PS4 will ever surpass the Nintendo Wii in terms of sales.
