As of right now one of the hottest topics within the gaming world right now involves the upcoming release of the PS1 Classic in December. The announcement regarding the release of the PS1 Classic by Sony caught many people by surprise but has everyone excited. The PS1 Classic will include at least 20 pre-loaded games such as Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3 and many more that were best sellers for the original back in the mid to late 90’s. As many people in terms of sales the PS1 clearly had more success than the SNES. Since it initial release back in 1994 the PS1 has managed to sell over 102 million units worldwide while the the SNES had managed to reach slightly over 49 million since its release back in 1990.

While the SNES Classic has been a success since September 2017 and reaching over 5.2 million units worldwide in terms of sales there are many who are speculating whether or not the PS1 Classic will surpass it in term if sales. Seeing that Black Friday is coming up in November along with Christmas in December there is a pretty good chance that the PS1 Classic can possibly rival the SNES Classic in terms of sales. In fact, its almost guaranteed that the PS1 Classic will sell more than one million units worldwide within month.
