When it comes down to classics from the 16 bit era of gaming one of the most noticeable titles from that time period was MegaMan X which was initially released back in 1993. Since its release MegaMan X has been released on multiple game systems including the Nintendo Switch recently. Even though, Capcom made the decision to keep a majority of MegaMan titles on the NES and the SNES during the first half of the 90’s decade there are some wonder how big the original MMX game would have been on the Sega Genesis.

While there may have been much less competition in relation to platform titles on the Sega Genesis aside from the Sonic the Hedgehog series it seemed like MegaMan X-3 was naturally meant for the SNES opposed to the Sega Genesis. The 2D graphics and gameplay that we got on the SNES was perfect and the soundtrack for MegaMan X on that console was unforgettable. While its possible that the original Mega Man X game could have been a success on the Sega Genesis it may not have been as big as it was on the SNES.
