There is no doubt that Bloodstained Ritual of the Night was one of the many titles that the world was looking forward to seeing on multiple game consoles this year. However, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night the 2D action platformer developed by ArtPlay & DICO has been recently pushed back for whatever reason. As of right now Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is expected to appear on consoles such as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2019 on a date that has yet to be revealed. It has also been noted that the PlayStation Vita version of Bloodstained Ritual of the Night has been scrapped possibly due to the fact that the handheld console is not as popular as other game systems such as the Nintendo Switch.

Besides Sony plans on discontinuing the PlayStation Vita due to the fact that the game system was a commercial failure and has managed to sell far less than the PSP. Those who already pre-ordered Ritual of the Night for the PlayStation Vita will receive refunds due to the inconvenience caused by this announcement and can purchase the game for other game systems if they choose to do so.
