As far as upcoming games for this year is concerned one of the many titles that has people talking is the highly anticipated 2D action platform title called The Messenger. For those who do not know The Messenger is a game developed by Sabotage Studio and published by Devolver Digital. This game has a pretty basic plot involving the an unnamed protagonist who must save fight of an attack from a demonic army.

One of the coolest features about The Messenger is that the game includes both 8 16 Bit gameplay. This metroidvania like game is one that retro gamers can easily sink their teeth into which makes a worthy title for Switch owners to have. While the release date for The Messenger has yet to be revealed the game is expected to appear on the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018.
