There have been many interesting announcements this year so far in relation to gaming technology so far. The news regarding the most revealed update to Steam in relation to voice chat is a rather exciting one. For those who do not know Valve Corporation has recently introduced a new voice chat service that will make the gaming experience for Steam users more rewarding. In the past Steam users had to use third party services such as Discord or TeamSpeak in order to utilize voice chat. It seems like the desire to be able to chat with other players online is a feature that Value Corporation has pick up on over the past few years which influenced the company’s idea to develop a service of their own.

Along with being able to communicate with Steam users through voice & text it has been noted that the new feature is multimedia friendly. This new Steam service will allow players to share all types of videos from YouTube along with audio from SoundCloud. It will be interesting to see how much more popular Steam will become now that Valve Corporation has made this update that could potentially eliminate the use of third party software altogether.
