As some might know Sega has developed a Party game entitled Sonic Shuffle which was released exclusively for the Sega Dreamcast in late 2000. Since its release Sonic Shuffle has often been criticized by many as a uninspiring rip-off of Mario Party which failed to achieve similar success that Sega has hoped for. While Sonic Shuffle has received some negative feedback it also received positive reviews from gaming publications such as GamePro and Game Revolution. Right now, it seems unlikely that we will see another Sonic Shuffle game since the first one did not do too well in terms of sales.

Also, games such as Team Sonic Racing and Sonic Mania are very hot right now and making another Sonic Party does not make too much sense right now. Even, if we did get another Sonic Shuffle game it would still get outshined by the upcoming Super Mario Party game coming out this upcoming Fall. While an HD Remake of Sonic Shuffle would be interesting there had not been too much interest within Sega or the gaming community on make it happen.
