As many people know Team Sonic Racing is an upcoming title developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sega that is set to appear on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch in late 2018. As exciting as this game looks there are some who ponder whether or not Team Sonic Racing will be a huge success on the Nintendo Switch or not. In terms big racing game that have received mainstream attention on the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8: Deluxe instantly comes to mind. Some could argue that Mario Kart 8: Deluxe could overshadow Team Sonic Racing versus providing an alternative fast paced action racing title that players can enjoy on the hybrid console.

However, there are many people who can easily say the same thing about the PS4 along with the Xbox One seeing how popular Forza Motorsport 7 and Gran Turismo Sport is for both game consoles. Not to mention that Forza Horizon 4 has yet to be released for the Xbox One in October 2018. As of right now it’s tough to predict how well Team Sonic Racing will do in terms of sales but seeing how well games such as Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed did since its release in 2012 there is no doubt that least one million copies will be sold within a year.
