When it comes to role playing games from the 90’s both Tactics Orge: Let Us Cling Together and Final Fantasy were among two of the most popular titles within that genre of gaming. Not only were both games fantastic RPG titles but some would argue that both titles were similar in many aspects. Both Tactics Orge: LUCT and Final Fantasy Tactics has isometric perspectives along with interesting storylines. However, many would argue that the graphics in Tactics Orge: LUCT were more superior than Final Fantasy Tactics since it was less grainy which is debatable.

However, in terms of in game mechanics some would argue that Final Fantasy Tactics was a better game for a couple of reasons. Final Fantasy Tactics has features such as the inclusion of a 3D battle map along with a more superior magic & skill system than Tactics Orge: Let Us Cling Together. Also, since its release Final Fantasy Tactics has managed to sell over 2.4 million units worldwide since its release back in the late 90’s. Since the Final Fantasy series in general is more popular than Tactics Orge those who are die hard fans of the FF series would most likely put Final Fantasy Tactics over Tactics Orge: Let Us Cling Together as being more successful in the long run.

One response to “Tactics Orge: Let Us Cling Together (1995) vs Final Fantasy (1997) which game had more success?”

  1. Final Fantasy Tactics without a doubt. While Tactics Ogre is solid, FFT is more popular, and helped popularizing the SRPG genre back in late 90s
