When it comes down to popular 3D fighting titles of the mid to late 00’s both Tekken 6 along with Soul Calibur IV are two big names that comes to mind. After Tekken 6 received its arcade release back in 2007 it was ported for the PlayStation 3 along with the Xbox 360 back in 2009. Tekken 6 has so many cool features such as its Campaign Mode which added to the overall replay value of the game itself. Also, there we’re so many popular characters to choose from such as Jin Kazama, Lili, Nina Williams, Christie Monterio and more. Since its release Tekken 6 had managed to sell over 3.5 million copies worldwide and was one of the top fighting games on 2009 next to Street Fighter IV.

Soul Calibur IV was also an exciting fighting title especially for those who were fans of the series. Not only did Soul Calibur IV have cool game modes such as the Tower of Lost Souls but it also allowed players to create their own characters and had great 3D visuals. Popular characters such as Sophita, Ivy, Siegfried, Nightmare and other were included in Soul Calibur IV. Not to mention we also saw DLC characters such as Yoda and Darth Vader from Star Wars. Since its release Soul Calibur IV has been named “Fighting Game of the Year” by IGN back in 2008. It would be tough to choose one over the other in terms of which game was more successful between Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur IV.
