When it comes down to popular action adventure titles of the early 10’s Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon was no doubt one of the most popular games for the Nintendo 3DS. Since its release Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon has managed to sell at least 5.45 million units worldwide. Not only did Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon surpass its 2001 prequel in terms of sales but its also a game that some believe deserved to be on a home based con at the time.

While the Wii-U would have been an obvious choice to put Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon on the console was not nearly as popular as the Nintendo 3DS was during the last couple of years. If anything having Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon on the Wii U could have ended up hurting the overall sales of the game itself since the console was considered a commercial failure in comparison to other Nintendo game consoles.
