There is no doubt that Stardew Valley is one of the most popular 2D farm simulation video games of the 10’s decade. Some would argue that the game is almost as popular as Harvest Moon was when it first appeared on the SNES back in the mid 90’s. In fact, there are some who question whether or not Stardew Valley could have achieved the same level of success that it did back in the early to mid 90’s on the SNES.

While there is a possibility that Stardew Valley could have been more successful on the SNES back in the early 90’s it probably would not have stood out as much as it did in the past couple of years. Since almost every game that came out back in the early 90’s was 16 bit it would of just been another SNES game. Even though, competing with the original Harvest Moon game on the SNES would have been a possibility back then it could have still have made a huge impact in the gaming world due the early 90’s.
