There have been numerous RPG titles for the SNES that were considered to be memorable back in the early 90’s. Since its inception back in 1993 the Break of Fire series has been seen as one of Capcom’s best as far as the RPG’s are concerned. However, there are some who wonder whether or not the first two Breath of Fire games could have had as much success if Capcom had decided to go with the Sega Genesis opposed to the SNES back in the 90’s.

While Breath of Fire 1 & 2 were popular on the SNES some would argue that both games could of stood out way more on the Sega Genesis. While some may argue that the graphics and sprites used in both Breath of Fire 1 & 2 was impressive they could also argue that each title would have look almost as good on the Sega Genesis. However, RPG titles were not quite as popular on the Sega Genesis as they were on the SNES during the early 90’s. Breath of Fire 1 & 2 would definitely have stood out more on the Sega Genesis but it may not have been as successful. Also, Square Enix was as way more interested in doing business with Nintendo back in the late 80’s and early 90’s than with Sega.
