When it comes down to retro titles from the 90’s that are within the fighting genre of gaming there is no doubt that King of Fighters ’98 was one of the most popular arcade classics of that decades. Since its release King of Fighters ’98 has been released for multiple game consoles including the Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, Dreamcast along with the PS1. Even though it was cool to see King of Fighters ’98 on those consoles some wonder whether or not it could have worked on the SNES during the 90’s?

After all, games were still being made in Japan for the SNES console during the mid to late 90’s. Also, we managed to see Street Fighter Alpha 2 ported for SNES during the mid 90’s as well. If King of Fighters ’98 was ported for the SNES it would not have been as good as all the other versions. Also, by the late 90’s there was no point on making an SNES version of the game since PS1 and Dreamcast were considered to be the future of gaming at the time by many people.
