There is no doubt that the Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy from the early 90’s on the Sega Genesis is legendary. Along with the fast paced gameplay and the challenging levels each game had to offer the soundtracks added more life into them which contributed to their overall replay values. As far as VGM is concerned both Marble Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 were both amazing soundtracks.

In terms of which VGM was more popular sometimes depends on which game you enjoyed more. While sometimes Sonic 2 nay seem more challenging than Sonic the game had a memorable soundtrack. While Marble Zone was a smooth and catchy soundtrack Chemical Plant Zone felt more complex while oddly capturing the vibe of the stage itself. In terms of which level had a memorable soundtrack some might give Chemical Plant Zone the edge over Marble Zone in general.
