When we think about beat em up classics from the 90’s titles such as Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, Battletoads, TMNT: Turtles in Time are titles that generally come to mind. However, the X-Men Arcade game which had cabinets to hat allowed up to six players in terms of gameplay is one that does not get as mention as should. There have been many different things said about the X-Men arcade game over the years since its release back in 1992.

X-Men Arcade has amazing 2D graphics and gameplay and is considered to be one of Konami’s best games of the early 90’s. At the same time many argue that X-Men Arcade itself is repetitive and not as challenging as other beat em up titles from the early 90’s. Considering how popular X-Men was in the early 90’s the arcade was a very big deal and is regarded as a classic to this very day. However, putting X-Men Arcade in the same category of in terms of popularity in relation to games like TMNT: Turtles in Time is somewhat debatable. But there is no doubt that the X-Men series was very big back in the early to mid 90’s.
