It has recently be confirmed by Sega that we are expected to see a new Sonic Racing game sometime in the near future. One of the more interesting things about this upcoming racing title is that it will not be a direct sequel of Sonic Sega All Stars which was released back in 2010. While Sonic Sega All Stars was a decent racing title this upcoming game seems to be different.

There was a video posted where you can hear an engine starting up with a glowing “R” which raises some questions. Some might wonder whether or not the glowing letter R was a reference to Sonic R which was released for the Sega Saturn back in 1997. If this upcoming Sonic Racing title is going to be similar to Sonic R then this is something that will definitely turn heads in the gaming. However, there is so much about the upcoming Sonic title which is still unknown that is most likely going to be revealed as we progress throughout 2018.
