As many people know the Nintendo 3DS line has be very popular in countries such as Japan America and Europe since 2011. Throughout the 10’s decade the Nintendo 3DS along with Nintendo 3DS XL have given us many memorable titles such as Mario Kart 7, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon along with others. Such titles are considered to be among the best in relation to handheld gaming no just for the Nintendo 3DS but in general.

But ever since the Spring 2017 the Nintendo Switch had received an unexpected surge in popularity. The Switch console is not only one of the hottest consoles in the gaming world but the hybrid console has managed to sell over 14 million units worldwide within a year. As a home based and a handheld console the Nintendo Switch has managed to gain a lot of mainstream attention throughout 2017 to a point where the Nintendo 3DS was hardly ever mentioned. To say that the Nintendo 3DS is obsolete is a pretty bold statement but it seems like the game system has definitely declined in popularity since the Nintendo Switch was released in retail stores around the world last year.
