As many of us know The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most polished games out on the Nintendo Switch right now. Since Breath of the Wild was released back in March 2017 the game has managed to sell over six million units worldwide which is very impressive. But when it comes down down to sales in Japan it has been recently reported that Breath of the Wild has exceeded one million units in Japan.

In Japan a majority of the sales were on the Nintendo Switch as opposed to the Wii-U which is not surprising. If you look at the fact that Breath the Wild was one of the first games to be released on the Nintendo Switch along with the discontinuation of the Wii-U in early 2017 it only makes sense that the Switch version had more success overall. Reaching over one million in sales is a milestone for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and it’s almost certain that it will end up being one of the best selling Switch titles in Japan altogether.
