There is no doubt that Splatoon is arguably one of the most popular shooter games that is currently on the Nintendo Switch right now. This third person shooter title has gained a lot of mainstream attention since its release for the Nintendo Switch back in July 2017 and has sold close to five million units worldwide since its release. Not too long ago it was revealed that Splatoon 2 has top two million units worldwide in sales in the country of Japan.

The fact that Splatoon 2 has sold over 2 million units in Japan is impressive considering the fact that it exceeded the expectations of many people. Also, Splatoon 2 was probably the main third person shooter game that was constantly promoted for the Nintendo Switch throughout 2017. There is no doubt that Splatoon 2 will continue to be one of the top selling games on the Nintendo Switch. However, it’s questionable on whether or not Splatoon 2 can hit 3 million units in terms of sales in Japan before 2019.
