There were so many cool games that world saw during the early 90’s in a variety of different genres such as fighting, beat em up, RPG, etc. Even though, the scrolling shooter genre was beginning to decline during the 90’s there were arcade games like Samurai Aces which was developed by Psikyo that looked impressive. The crazy thing about Samurai Aces was that the games was not released for a home console until the early 00’s when it was ported on the PS2.

This raises the question on whether or not such a game could have worked on the SNES, Sega Genesis or even the PS1 back in the 90’s. It’s very likely that Samurai Aces could have worked on any of those game consoles but since the 2D up n down along the side scrolling shooting genre was starting to decline in popularity during the 90’s it would make sense not to port the Samurai Aces to any of those game consoles.
