Capcom has made some great games within the past few decades. However, when it comes down to fighting genre of gaming the Rival School series is one that was and still is underrated to many people. As a 3D fighting title the original Rival Schools seemed like it was overshadowed during the late 90’s. Even though Rival Schools United by Fate received an arcade release in late 1997 the game itself was only ported for the PS1.

There were countless fighting games such as Tekken 2, Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, Mortal Kombat 4 and many other cool fighting games that came out around that time period. Rival Schools: United By Fate along with Project Justice which was released in late 00’s were both games that probably deserved more credit then they got back in the day. While it’s been at least sixteen years since we saw the release of Project Justice there are many who question whether or not Capcom should make a Rival Schools 3.

Over a year ago it seemed like series producer Hideaki Itsuno was very open to the idea of producing a new Rival Schools game. Also, there is currently an online Facebook campaign that is pushing for a Rival Schools 3 in the future. If the release of Rival Schools 3 actually happens in the future it should be made for various consoles such as the PS4 and the Xbox One since it would likely turn many heads in the gaming world.
