When it comes down to racing games for Nintendo based consoles Mario Kart Double Dash is easily one of the most innovative titles that the world has seen.  Since the release of Mario Kart Double Dash for GameCube back in the Fall of 2003 many people had wondered why there was never another game like it.  If Nintendo had no plans on making a spiritual successor for Mario Kart Double Dash as far as gameplay is concerned then the game itself should have at least been re-released for a next generation console following the Nintendo GameCube such as the Wii or the Wii-U.

After all, Mario Kart Wii did not show up for the Nintendo Wii console until 2008.  The Nintendo Wii console itself was first released back in November of 2006 so a re-release could have possibly have worked sometime in 2007.  While its  uncertain how well a Nintendo Wii port of Mario Kart Double Dash would of done it still would have been great to see the game on the Wii console back in the 00’s.
