When it comes down to crossover fighting titles from the 00’s Marvel vs Capcom 2 is one of the few titles that gamers instantly think about.  When Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was first released it had started out in arcade centers before its was ported for the Sega Dreamcast, Xbox along with the PS2.  

It was a bit surprising to some people that Marvel vs Capcom 2 was not on the Nintendo during the early 00’s.  But then again,  we did get a chance to see Capcom vs SNK 2 on the Nintendo GameCube which compensates for not having Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on that game console at all.  When it comes down to gameplay and graphics it seemed like Marvel vs Capcom 2 could have worked on the Nintendo GameCube.  However, in terms of popularity the PS2 and the Dreamcast port could have still overshadowed a GameCube port of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 easily.
