Final Fantasy 7 is without a doubt one of the greatest RPG titles of all time.  If Final Fantasy 7 had started out one the Sega Saturn opposed to the PS1 the game may not have became as popular as it did.  In America the PS1 was way more popular than the Sega Saturn and sold units worldwide.  



Besides when it came down to the RPG genre of gaming there weren’t too many memorable titles on the Sega Saturn probably with the exception of Shining The Holy Ark and Shining Force III.  In terms of graphics and gameplay Final Fantasy 7 probably could have worked well on the Sega Saturn but the game could have had more success on the Sega Dreamcast.
