Harvest Moon is quite possibly one of the most popular farm simulation titles of the 16 bit era.  Even though, the original Harvest Moon game was an SNES exclusive there are some who wonder whether or not it could have worked on the Sega Genesis back in the early 90’s.  When it came down to simulation games in general there were way more titles on the SNES as opposed to the Sega Genesis.  

In theory Harvest Moon could have possibly worked for the Sega Genesis but in practice it may not have sold led as much as the SNES version.  In fact Harvest Moon being an SNES exclusive is probably one reasons why the game was a success to begin with.
