When it comes down to the action adventure genre of gaming Zelda II: Adventure of Link was definitely one of the coolest games for consoles he NES back in the 80’s.  Even though, Zelda II: Adventure of Link was very difficult and was very different from just about every other game in the series it was probably the only time Nintendo had ever made a game in the series with 2D side scrolling levels.

Also, Zelda II: Adventure of Link gave us the legendary Palace theme which is considered to be one of the greatest BGM’s that one will ever hear on the NES or other games that features the remix of the song such as Super Smash Bros Melee.  Zelda II: Adventure of Link by no means was a bad game it just wasn’t quite as good as Lino to the Past or the original Zelda game for the NES.
