As of right now many people are looking forward to the release of Super Mario Odyssey which is expected to hit stores in late October of 2017.  However, when it comes down to Super Mario games Nintendo did have some great titles for the Nintendo Wii U.  Along, with Mario Kart 8 being ported for the Nintendo Switch Super Mario 3D World is also a game that deserves to be on that console as well.  

Super Mario 3D World is a game that has remained exclusively on the Wii-U since it was released back in 2013.  Ever since its release Super Mario 3D World has reportedly sold over 5.6 million units worldwide making it one of the best selling games for the Wii-U in general.  If Nintendo ever decides to port Super Mario 3D World for the Nintendo Switch it most likely will take place in 2018 or later long after Super Mario Odyssey is released.
