As many people have heard the Nintendo Switch has already managed to sell over one million units in Japan which is an impressive feat.  When the Switch console was first released back in March 2017 nobody expected the game system to sell over 2.7 million units worldwide within two months or even to hit one million during four months.  One of Nintendo main goals for the Switch console is to surpass the overall sales of the Wii-U by selling over 13.5 million units worldwide.

However, when it comes down to first year sales Nintendo is hoping to sell over 10 million units worldwide.  Even though, some might argue that Nintendo’s expectation for the Switch console in terms of first year sales seem a bit unrealistic it would hard to debate how much success this system had so far.  While the Nintendo Switch has proved to be desirable by many gaming customers in Japan there are American consumers desperately want to see more Switch consoles in US following the recent shortage of game systems in the country.
