When the Super Nintendo was released in the early 90’s many people were very impressed by the visual presentation that the console had produced for various games that was released during that time period.  We had games such as Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Metroid and many other titles that looked amazing on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.  Even though, Nintendo released a handheld console called Game Boy back in 1989 it seemed inferior in terms of quality in comparison to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

The original Game Boy handheld console felt like a black and white version of the 8 bit Nintendo Entertainment System which was released in back in 1983.  When the Game Boy Advance consoles were released in the early 00’s it looked and felt like you were playing a portable version of the SNES.  After there were many classic Super Nintendo games that were remade into Game Boy Advance titles such as Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past and more.  If Nintendo had released the Game Boy Advance in the early 90’s it would have definitely destroyed its competition in Sega along with earning more revenue in the 90’s.   The Game Boy Advance was a console that literally felt like a handheld SNES game system similar to how the Nintendo DS was similar to that of a handheld N64.   Having the Game Boy Advance or the Advance SP around during the 90’s could have given Nintendo a significant edge over Sega despite the fact that they won the console wars anyways.
