
Its hard to believe that its been 15 years since Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption. Red Dead Redemption was considered to be one of the best action-adventure video games of the 2010’s decade along with its 2018 sequel Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption was a western action-adventure title which was developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption had around five years of development go into it prior to its release for PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 in 2010. Red Dead Redemption was the sequel to Red Dead Revolver game from 2004 which normally gets overlooked do it being a commercial failure during the mid-2000’s. Red Dead Redemption was a game that many players and critics have praised for many years now. Red Dead Redemption had a great story, nice graphics and one of the best combat systems that you would see in a 3D action-adventure game from the PS3/Xbox 360 era. The story for Red Dead Redemption focuses on John Marston who was the main protagonist of the game. Marston was an outlaw who had been separated from his family by the Bureau of Investigation due to his past crimes.

The game saw Marston cooperating with the Bureau of Investigation by helping them take down fellow comrades who were also outlaws. The story for Red Dead Redemption is full of unexpected twists and turns including betrayals Edgar Ross who was the main villain of the game. Despite, his efforts and doing almost everything the Bureau of Investigation told him John Marston ends up being a victim and ultimately dies at the end of Red Dead Redemption. The story for Red Dead Redemption looked like something that could have worked in movies due to how good the storytelling was. Also, the “Most Wanted” system in Red Dead Redemption made the game feel like a western version of Grand Theft Auto in some ways which was pretty cool. In fact, Red Dead Redemption is quite possibly one of Rockstar’s greatest video games outside of the GTA series. The online co-op missions were fun to play outside of the main story and its something that ended up adding to the overall replay value of Red Dead Redemption during the 2010’s decade. Since its release back in 2010 Red Dead Redemption had reached at least 25 million copies in sales making it one of Rockstar’s best selling video games of the 10’s decade.
