It seems like 2025 is off to a rocky start at least for those who are huge PlayStation gamers. The PlayStation Network has been down since Friday night on February 7th and and is still experiencing a global outage more than fifteen hours later. Since the global outage started PlayStation had provided a status update social media around 8 p.m. on February 7th acknowledging their awareness of the issue. There are millions in different countries who are currently unable to use the PlayStation Network including America, U.K. along with Australia. The PlayStation Network’s global outage has attracted mainstream attention on social media platforms like Reddit and X. There are many PS5 users who are furious about the outage especially those who have purchased subscriptions or memberships for the PlayStation Plus. There has really been no mention on what caused the global outage for the PlayStation Network. We also have no idea when the PlayStation Network is going to be up and running again. This is one of the first major outages that the PlayStation Network has experienced since 2011. While the PSN global outage is unfortunate its also something that Sony really had no control off. Hopefully, the PSN will be up and running again within the next 24 hours or so.
