There is no question that the Nintendo Switch is one the most popular game consoles out in the market right now next to the PlayStation 5. The Switch console has managed to sell over 129 million units worldwide since its release back in March 2017 and it a great game system for those who do not feel like purchasing PS5 or the Xbox Series because of its price tag. The Switch console has been around for almost eight years now and Nintendo is expected to reveal their next generation game console sometime in 2024. There are so many games that people would love to see on a potential Switch 2 console with one of them being a port of the Final Fantasy VII: Remake which came out for the PlayStation 5 back in 2020. The Final Fantasy VII: Remake had surprisingly sold more than people had expected reaching over five million copies in sales within the past three years. While the Switch console from 2017 is not strong enough to run Final Fantasy VII: Remake at 4K 60fps like the PlayStation 5 there have been rumors circulating on the internet that the Nintendo next generation console will be able to match the quality of the PS5 console. Its a possibility that Final Fantasy VII: Remake could potentially end up on Nintendo’s next generation console considering all of the older installments within the legendary RPG series that ended up on the Switch including remastered versions of FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF10 and FF12. The Final Fantasy VII: Remake might not sell as much on the Switch console as it did on the PS5 but its something that could eventually be showcased on Nintendo’s next generation console as a major attraction next to the likes of Metroid Prime 4 or a potential Mario Kart 9.
