It looks like NetherRealm Studios has decided to reboot the Mortal Kombat series following the aftermath in relation to the Mortal Kombat 11 game from 2019. Recently, we got a reveal trailer for the upcoming installment Mortal Kombat 1 which set to be released in Fall 2023 on September 19th. Mortal Kombat 1 will be released for current generation game consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X along with Nintendo Switch. It seems like we are getting an alternate timeline of the Mortal Kombat series which probably a good thing seeing how Mortal Kombat 11 ended. The graphics for Mortal Kombat 1 looks more realistic than ever and there seems to be as much blood and gore in this game as there was in MK11. We know that iconic characters such as: Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kitana and Shang Tsung have been confirmed to appear in Mortal Kombat 1. It has been reported that a new gameplay system will be featured in Mortal Kombat 1 but we have no idea on what the story is going to be about just yet. But we do know that Liu Kang is a Fire God in the Mortal Kombat 1 and its uncertain on what is alignment will end up being in the game.
