Does Pokemon Red & Blue deserve a HD-2D Remake?

As many people know Pokemon Red and Blue is considered to be one of the greatest 2D RPG video games of all-time. Pokemon Red & Blue was first released for Game Boy back in 1996 and is considered to be legendary since it was the very first game within its series. The first generation Pokemon game became popular shortly before the anime series became big in America during the late 90’s and generated a cult following since its ’96 release. Ever since, Pokemon Red & Blue appeared on Game Boy over 25 years ago it managed to reach at 31 million units in sales become one of the most popular video games of the 90’s decade. Despite, its popularity its very odd how Nintendo or Game Freak never considered giving the Red & Blue game an official remake. While we got to see high profile remakes of Pokemon Silver and Gold during the Nintendo DS era of the late 00’s it seems like Pokemon Red & Blue was ignored for whatever reason. A hardcore fan of the Pokemon series has recently took it upon himself to give Pokemon Red & Blue the HD-2D treatment by re-imaging Pallet Town in the video above. This fan made remake demo looks similar to that of Octopath Traveler from 2018 which is something that sparked the interest of online gaming community. This online demo was created by a 3D pixel artist named Dott and was apparently created using the Unreal Engine 5. Seeing how popular the Octopath Traveler series has been within the past few years a HD-2D remake of Pokemon Red & Blue would be money if Nintendo considered making it a reality.
