Does God of War deserve its own movie?

The God of War series is one of the hottest video game franchises right now and there are many people who have nothing but great things to say about the Ragnarok game that came out back in 2022. Since its release back in Q4 2022 God of War: Ragnarok has managed to reach at least 11 million copies in worldwide sales on the PlayStation 5. It has not even been a full year sinceGod of War: Ragnarok came out and it might end up becoming the best selling video for the PlayStation 5 console. God of War: Ragnarok is the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War title from 2018 which managed to reached at least 23 million copies in sales on the PlayStation 4. Both games had great gameplay along with breathtaking cinematic cutscenes which made for magnificent gameplay experiences. Seeing how popular the God of War series has been within the decade there are many people who believe that franchise deserves its own stand along movie on the big screen. Seeing video game movies have been exploding in popularity as of late a God of War could be as big as the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Super Mario Bros films that we have seen within the past few years. It was revealed back in December 2022 that we are supposed to be getting a live action film for God of War on Amazon Prime Video. Apparently, the live action film adaptation of God of War is something that has been in production for a while now with Amazon Studios collaborating with PlayStation Productions. However, there many who believe that God of War deserves to be in movie theaters more opposed to simply get a live action film on Amazon Prime Video. The God of War film adaption for Amazon Prime Video is supposed to be written by Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus with the story revolving around the Norse Saga of Kratos. If the God of War live action-film ends up becoming very popular hopefully it will open up the possibility of the franchise getting an official movie release later down the line. Its been almost decades since the original God of War game was released for the PS2 back in 2005 and it feels like the franchise is popular enough to cross over into television and film.
