Everyone knows that Sony had acquired Bungie a few months ago for at $3.6 billion along with the fact that the video game developer is responsible fo the fame and success that the Halo series has had within the past two decades. One of the most successful installments within the entire Halo franchise was the Halo: Reach game from 2010. When it comes down to high profile first person shooter games the Halo: Reach title from 2010 had somewhat rivaled the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops I in relation to popularity. Halo: Reach had managed to sell roughly around 9.5 million copies worldwide across multiple gaming platforms and was arguably the best entry within its series during the 2010’s decade. Its been around twelve years since Halo Reach was released for the Xbox 360 and PC and many feel that the game deserves a 4K high definition remake for the PlayStation 5. Seeing how Sony now owns Bungie its almost impossible to imagine a remake of any of the older Halo games appearing on the Xbox Series X. The Halo series became extremely popular on Microsoft’s game systems within the past two decades mainly because third party video games shined more on consoles like Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It would be very strange seeing a remake of an older Halo game on the PlayStation 5 but it would also be very interesting well. Despite, how popular Halo: Reach was over a decade ago Sony has first party games such as God of War: Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 which can easily overshadow anything Bungie releases in relation to their most popular first person shooter series. The fact that Halo: Infinite was a massive success following its release back in 2021 shows that the series itself is still very popular within the gaming world.
